A Heap of Ramblings, a Pinch of Rants and a Dash of Fashion Design.
Gosh! What do I do? Do I start a serious career? Or do I do what I want to do right now which is travel?!? It’s all too much decision making? I think sometimes I forget that I’m still so young. As of 1 1/2 hours, it’s only 24 hours until I’m 20. (does that make sense??)

I can either save for a year to do a 12 month non-paid fashion internship overseas (living on bowls of peas the whole time) or I can save for a year and thoroughly enjoy my saving..? I don’t know!! Help! I don’t want to get to 1/2 way through my life and realise I never went on any of the adventures that I wanted to go on… But have a successful career… or do I?!? Life is too damn difficult!

P.s. This dress is a 21st dress I’ve been working. A little sort of Draped Grecian dress in a dusty pink colour.

Miss my brother!!

My older brother moved to Perth about a week ago. He’s the ‘life of the party’ type person. I miss him :(

I will show you some of my work, so you can have an idea of what my aesthetic is. I really enjoy doing couture, as I had an AMAZING teacher, who made me really love making gowns and corsets. But I also love doing little quirky, vintage inspired numbers for events that aren’t so flamboyant!
This bias cut gown was a PAIN IN THE BUM to make! The silk fabric I used was so amazing, but also really delicate and slippery. I had an overwhelming urge to give up so many times during this one! But it’s actually made from off cuts of a fabric that Donna Karan used at some point, so that makes it a little more special!

People describe me as a gypsy, I think mostly because I’m a bit of a free spirit. I’m almost always half an hour late to lunch or coffee dates! I do things on a whim, mostly never thinking it through.. at all! But, you know, that’s what I love! Its called an adventure and I like to be optimistic!

I am a fashion designer with a massive interest in art, couture, history and photography. Theres a lot of madness that goes on inside my head, about useless things. So much madness, infact, that I have insomnia. Sleeping is clearly last priority for my brain.. so my Aunty told me that I need to write everything that’s going through my head down, so I can let it go. That’s how this blog will be good for me, more a therapeutic device than anything else! Let’s hope it works!
